Mirajane had been walking down the street towards her own inn - currently housing Team B - when she noticed the stranger on the roof. Coming to an abrupt halt, blue eyes blinked as she tilted her head to take in what was yes, a man, standing on the roof. And now that she looked closer, she realised he was staring directly towards the window where Team A were rooming.
Lips turning down, she marched forward, reading to confront the man when the figure finally came more into view and she noted the blue hair.
Oh, it was Jellal.
She broke into a smile, ah that was fine then.
Wait, no, why was Jellal creeping on a roof? Eyes following his attention, she glanced up to a curtain drawn window, spotting the unmistakable silhouette of a curvaceous woman undressing. Now, the hair was too long to be Lucy’s, so the only other big busted woman like that living there right now was…
Lips curving into a beaming smile, she returned her gaze to Jellal. And, stepping back, lifted a hand to her lips to amplify her voice. “Lovely night isn’t it!?”
Jellal had no idea someone had noticed him. After all he was definitely a bit distracted with the sight before him. He jumped in surprise at the voice and lost his footing as he realized who was talking to him.
Gravity took it’s course and pulled the man down to ground level as he landed with a loud thud before Mira. Perhaps he deserved it for what he was just doing, even if he just wanted to make sure Erza was safe. Jellal lay there motionless and silent as he tried to think of how to explain the situation. Mira had no doubt assumed the worst of his intentions.
Without a word he picked himself up off the ground and dusted himself off, trying to maintain his cool in front of her so he could explain his story in a believable way. Finally he looked at her in the eyes and spoke. “It’s not what it looks like.” He spotted some more dirt on his sleeve and proceeded to dust it off as he continued. “I was just looking out for Team A after the Raven Tail incident. I was worried more of them would be targeted.”
